lyrics
IN MORTAL THRESHOLDS
Veins weakening betrayal that passed silently
Looms the cloudburst cursed in its aging terraform
Bones threatened by the blackest axe that the tomb befouled
To resurrect and embalm secretive virtue
Shroud the ministries in human archways
Carnal narration; shattered sins to sleep
Hopeless scars now return ever to their sunken lord
Now to bleed the hostile as horizons shall consume
Sanctuary gaze of the frozen flame
With slashes opaque in the clay of soul
The molten mold of natures solemn bereavement
Chaotic kings suffocate creation and loss
As breath condemned its venom shined malignancy
In madness of marbled urns upon phantom thrones
Echoes fading from the untold
Shoulder to spine In Mortal Thresholds
Hopeless scars now return ever to their sunken lord
Now to bleed the hostile as horizons shall consume
Echoes fading from the untold
Shoulder to spine In Mortal Thresholds

An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names. Bertrand Marchal

Extremely inventive and multifaceted sci-fi prog death, just like iridescent ethereal world on the cover art. Best band's achievement up to date. And easily in 2023 AOTY list Dmitry Nevozhay

never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu
